How would you describe your Pit Bull?

Please, only people knowledgeable on dog breeds or owners answering. I want to get a Pittie, but I have never owned one before. I have owned a Neapolitan Mastiff, Great Dane, Beagle, German Shepherd, and a Portuguese Water Dog. All my dogs were well trained. I would adopt a Pit Bull puppy, and he would definitely go to puppy classes. I have the time to train him, since I work from home. I just want to know what to expect, what to watch out for, and what your Pitties were like. Serious answers, please. No "It's a vicious breed that should become extinct", because I have been told that before!
