Can some1 explain what dumb mistake im making in this question?? -EARTH SCIENCE!!!!!?

based on pages 8 and 9 of the ESRT, dinosaurs didn't appear until about 235milling years ago and disappeared 65ish million years ago. since answers a, b, and c are all more than 200 million years ago and the only answer with high extinction rate sooner than 100 million years ago is d. D must be the answer.
