Should I get a iPad 2 or wait for an iPhone 5?

Well I'm asking this question to you guys cause I'm not sure which one to get. I'm a huge Apple fan but I'm at an impasse ATM. I will have the money eventually to buy myself an iPad 2 but it'll be here before the iPhone comes out. However, I can wait to get the iPhone. Now here's the thing. Iphone's or any phones for that matter are not allowed at school clearly or out in public. But... iPad's are, to some extinct. I can use them to take notes, and maybe some other things, I want an iPhone because I need the music to help me work out in the gym which im starting tomarrow. And with the iPad etc etc... Anyways, which would you guys pick? IPad for school and my own time or an iPhone just for my own time? Give details and thanks guys for answering.
